If you are a caregiver, the following organizations may offer additional support or services:

Social Security Administration
federal agency responsible for running retirement benefits, social security numbers, disability benefits, supplemental security income, government pension rules.

Help With Prescription Drug Costs
medicare beneficiaries are eligible for extra help if they have limited income and resources. The Social Security Administration provides persons with limited income and resources extra help paying for their prescription drugs.

Eldercare Locator
a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. This locator links those who need assistance with state and local area agencies on aging and community-based organizations that serve older adults and their caregivers.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
federal agency responsible for administering the Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP (Children's Health Insurance), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), and other health-related programs.

Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving
it is a center supporting professional and family caregivers coping with chronic illness and disability across the lifespan as well as limitations due to aging.

Family Caregiver Alliance
organization providing programs to support and sustain the important work of families caring for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions.

The Administration on Aging
a federal agency responsible for advancing the concerns and interests of older people and their caregivers. It has provided home- and community-based services to millions of older persons through the programs funded under the Older Americans Act.

Family Caregiving 101
an outreach program designed to connect family caregivers with information and services that can help improve their lives and the level of care they can offer their loved ones.

National Alliance for Caregiving
an alliance dedicated to providing support to family caregivers and the professionals who help them and to increasing public awareness of issues facing family caregivers.

National Family Caregivers Association
an association to educate, support, and empower family caregivers who care for loved ones with a chronic illness or disability or the frailties of old age.

National Council on Aging
an organization focused on developing, implementing, and disseminating programs that improve the lives of older Americans, particularly those with limited income and resources.
